Pneuma Hospitality Group restaurant SIX Rooftop, at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Newcastle upon Tyne, has recently launched a seasonal supper club with a nostalgic twist!
Renowned for its stunning panoramic views and acclaimed modern British cuisine, the riverside restaurant, proudly holding two AA Rosettes and a place in the Michelin Guide, is inviting guests on a nostalgic culinary adventure with its monthly, seasonally inspired menus.
At each exclusive, one-night-only event, Chef Director Greg Lambert will present a distinctive six-course menu, thoughtfully crafted to evoke cherished childhood memories and nostalgic moments, all elevated by SIX’s signature fine-dining creativity.
The supper club offers the following schedule of culinary delights:
Friday 20th June – A Trip to the Seaside
Honouring the Great British coastline, this menu showcases an exquisite array of refined fish and seafood classics. Guests can look forward to timeless seaside favourites, thoughtfully reimagined with a touch of sophistication.
Friday 25th July – The Summer of ‘69
Experience the nostalgia of a classic American backyard cookout, reimagined with fine-dining flair. Savor smoky BBQ-inspired dishes, enjoy warm Southern hospitality, and soak in the ambiance with a soft rock soundtrack for a memorable evening of culinary Americana.
Friday 29th August – Holiday Camp Caper
Step back into Britain’s golden era of holiday camps, infused with a hint of Riviera elegance. This retro-inspired menu delivers playful sophistication, reimagining beloved classics with a contemporary twist.
Friday 26th September – Back to School
School dinners receive a gourmet makeover. Expect playful touches like hints of caviar paired with crisps, smiley faces adorned with beans, and a nostalgic dessert of classic cake with pink custard, all thoughtfully reinvented for adult tastes.
Priced at £60* per person, with optional drinks pairing available from £50 per person, each six-course menu has been carefully crafted to provide a taste sensation that is guaranteed to provide a night like no other.
